ALDUNATE
COMPUDATA SYSTEMS INC.
Mr.
Wilson Aldunate was born in Bolivia. Mr. Aldunate completed his
high school years in La Paz, Bolivia.
In
1981, Mr. Aldunate was awarded one of three scholarships, allocated
to Bolivia, by the Institute of International Education (IIE) to
study at The University of Kansas. He received a BS in Electrical
Engineering with a minor in Digital Telecommunications from The
University of Kansas (KU) in 1984.
While
pursuing his Master degree at KU, Mr. Aldunate received a one-year
assignment to work at INTELSAT (International Telecommunications
Satellite) in Washington, D.C. as a Visiting Scholar. In 1986, Mr.
Aldunate was hired as a full-time engineer at INTELSAT at the Satellite
Operations Department. In 1987, he was reassigned to the Satellite
Control Center at INTELSAT to reinvent the information technology
processes. During his tenure at INTELSAT, he was part of the team
of more than five satellite launches.
Mr. Aldunate, an entrepreneur at heart, left INTELSAT in 1995 to
found an information technology company, CompuData Systems Inc.
(CSI). The company has been able to penetrate the Federal government
market having as clients USDA, EPA, David Taylor Research Center,
and NIH among others. CompuData Systems Inc. has found an interesting
niche in various public schools systems within the Washington Metropolitan
area.
Today, CompuData Systems Inc. owns the rights/patents of three
software packages in the area of graphical remote network management
and security for large geographically dispersed networks.
Mr. Aldunate has served as President of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is also:
- Has served as President of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- President of the Prince George's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- President/CEO and founder of the Hispanic Workforce/Education
Services Corporation
- Honorary member of the Board of Directors at the Prince George's
Chamber of Commerce
- Chair of the Latin America Committee at the International Business
Council of the Prince George's Economic Development Corporation
