ROBERT CORREA, PRESIDENT & CEO
MANUFACTURING SUPPORT INDUSTRIES, INC.

Mr. Robert Correa was born in Chile in 1946 and was educated in Santiago, Chile, where he completed primary and secondary schools. In 1964 at the age of 18, he immigrated to the United States with his parents and siblings to reside in the Washington-Maryland suburbs. Robert is the second oldest of six children.

During his first years in the United States, Mr. Correa obtained his High School Diploma and completed two years in a Community College while working as a machinist and toolmaker in a precision metal manufacturing firm, Metal Tech. Later, he became its Shop Manager.

In December of 1969, Mr. Correa and his father founded Correa Machine and Tool Co. Inc. The company expanded with state-of-the-art machinery reaching sales of 5.5 million dollars with 120 employees. It produced sophisticated components for the military, aerospace, communication and medical industries.

In 1992 the company was sold to Thomas Enterprises. Robert continued with Thomas Enterprises managing the manufacturing operations until 1994 when he resigned from the company to become Vice President of Operations of Diversified Technologies International where he developed the manufacturing division and later on acquired it.

In 1998, Robert Correa founded Manufacturing Support Industries, Inc. (MSI), an engineering firm that builds precision-machined metal and plastics components to blueprint specifications. The company performs turnkey operations for mechanical assemblies and electromechanical assemblies that are integral parts of other machinery. Originally located in Prince George's county, it was relocated to the City of Salisbury in Maryland's Eastern Shore in 2000.

Today, MSI is a modern, state-of-the-art, end-to-end manufacturing firm that employs 22 employees. The company's strongest suit is its use of sophisticated programmable robotics machinery in the production of precision-machined parts.

MSI is approved as a minority-owned company under SBA 8(a) program and as a Small Disadvantaged Business entity. MSI serves Fortune 500 companies engaged in the military, aerospace, communication, and veterinary medicine industries. MSI is also a prime contractor with the Department of Defense.

Mr. Correa is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
