The Workforce Development Committee has developed many projects in order to get workforce ideas oriented to help employer, employees, and students. Since 2006 the Workforce Development Committee has been working in to open opportunities to discuss topics recently affecting our Hispanic community in the labor market. These discussions bring to the table the opportunity to have participants from various sectors, consolidating themes that benefit our community. So that was the beginning of our Workforce Development Committee. The Workforce Development Committee understand that their mission will be to empower employers to better understand and gain insight and handle Hispanic workforce issues, such as recruitment, immigration, and documentation of bilingual personnel; to assist Latinos with job search, employment and immigration issues, English as a Second Language, skills and career training; to provide scholarship opportunities for short-term career training. So the Workforce Development Committee keeps working during time to time improving this assessment to bring excellents Hispanic Workforce tools. The Job Fair is designed to allow organizations to have dedicated time to meeting potential job applicants and contribute to gain more aceptance of Hispanic Workforce in the milieu. |
